This workshop will discuss topics on healthy masculinity and how harmful masculine norms hurt everyone. It also explores concrete ways which men and boys can support survivors of violence and why gender-based violence response is essential in fostering allies. Men and boys will leave the workshop inspired to take emotional ownership of gender equality and their role in promoting healthy masculinities in all facets of their lives.

Workshop participants will learn about consent culture and gain bystander intervention skills.
Consent is asking permission and respecting boundaries. A culture of consent is one where consent is normalized both within our relationships and society at large.
Bystanders are witnesses who can intervene. This workshop will counteract the belief that “It’s none of my business.” Workshop participants will learn how to notice the event, recognize the event as a problem, assume personal responsibility and implement and take action.
